Petrus Development works with ministries on college campuses, parish communities, diocesan leaderships, and various other Catholic faith-based ministries in the U.S. and abroad. We are dedicated to helping our client fulfill their missions through stronger fund development. We are proud to be currently working with such worthy organizations including:

Cowboy Catholics at McNeese State University

Our Lady of Good Council / Cowboy Catholics
McNeese State University
Lake Charles, LA

Our mission is to form lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ: men and women who will live out the Gospel in their families and professions after having attended McNeese State University. We seek to provide the tools and formation which allows our students to live a life of virtue, prayer and witness rooted in the Sacramental life of the Church. Our Student Center provides Bible studies throughout the week, as well as a place for prayer and community. Intellectual formation, Retreats, Intramurals, Cajun Dancing, Free Lunch and other events are just a small way we serve the campus. Most importantly, we want to form solid, Christ-centered friendships that will provide the support needed to witness in today’s world.

Newman Catholic at Northern Illinois University

Newman Catholic
Northern Illinois University
DeKalb, IL

We need to help people discover faith and we can’t wait for them to show up at Newman. The campus is our mission field. We are to aim for not just those Catholics who come to us, but Catholic students who never went to church, those who are questioning faith, and the unchurched. To recognize this emphasis on discipleship and mission, the new mission statement reads:

Newman Catholic:  Inspired by Christ to embrace Faith, create disciples and transform lives.

There are still many students looking for answers that only Christ can give, but they are less likely to walk in the doors to Newman. We want to help them embrace the faith.

We’re here to change that.  “Bringing Christ to People and People to Christ” is more than a mission statement.  It’s vision that the staff here have taken to heart.  We’re here to put every resource we can in front of you to prepare for life beyond college.  Were here to make a difference.

Tulane Catholic – Tulane University

Tulane Catholic
Tulane University
New Orleans, LA

Bringing to Tulane University an experience of the depth, vibrancy and richness of Catholicism…by deeper relationships with Jesus and His Church and deeper Catholic spiritual and intellectual formation, making servant leaders for the Church and world.

When a student graduates from Tulane who has been involved with Tulane Catholic, we hope they will be active in the Church and their fellow parishioners will say “Thank you, God, for this person, they’re a gift to us!”  Our greatest desire is that through a continually deepening relationship with Jesus Christ and his Church, our students may be formed into the leaders and saints of tomorrow—not only in the professional world, but also in the Church.

St. Augustine University Parish at University of Wisconsin-Platteville

St. Augustine University Parish
University of Wisconsin-Platteville
Platteville, WI

The success of any ministry can be measured by the fruit which it yields. St. Augustine University Parish and the Newman Center programming have been amazingly successful spiritually.

At its current location on South Hickory Street, the parish offers daily Mass and a wide variety of programs such as Bible studies, RCIA, student fellowship, men’s & women’s groups, service retreats, spiritual direction/development, continuing faith education, and much more. However, student ministry has grown steadily over the last 40 years with each new program and service made available. Since 2011, there has been a sharp increase in student attendance at Mass and a large growth in many programs offered at St. Augustine.

Also, in that five-year period, there has also been a steady rise in the significant number of religious vocation discernments coming from this particular Newman Center.

St Thomas More Newman Center – University of Missouri

St. Thomas More Newman Center
University of Missouri
Columbia, MO

The St. Thomas More Newman Center was founded in December 1963. We are a university parish of more than 900 families. We are located at 602 Turner Ave. on the campus of the University of Missouri in Columbia, Mo.

We are called to be a living church; a Catholic faith community on fire with the love of Jesus Christ; passionate about what happens to individuals; disturbed by injustice; and impatient for the kingdom of God.

The Newman Center is a campus ministry parish comprised of those affiliated with the academic community and Columbia area residents. We challenge and console each other within a welcoming environment of dynamic worship, fellowship, hospitality and witnessing to Gospel values. We seek to know God’s will through Eucharist, prayer, scripture and teaching. Through the Holy Spirit, we are refreshed and become empowered to minister and to serve.

St. Albert the Great University Parish – Michigan Tech University

St. Albert the Great University Parish
Michigan Tech University
Houghton, MI

St. Albert the Great University Parish was founded by Fr. William McGee and built in 1963. It is a “personal parish” that serves the students, faculty, and staff (both current and retired) of Michigan Technological University, as opposed to a “territorial parish” which would serve a given geographical area.
